There are really just three different types of traffic on the internet, did you know that? And as an affiliate marketer, blogger, vlogger, or any other sort of influencer, it’s really important to know the different types of traffic that you will encounter, so that you know how to best handle the opportunities you face. Makes sense, right? So here they are.
- Paid search traffic
- Paid social media traffic
- Paid email traffic
Paid traffic is my least favorite because – you guessed it – you have to pay for it to get it. That being said, some people have great success with this concept because they learn how to make more money from their paid traffic than they paid for it. Some people are clever enough to make their money back right away, others have to wait for their investment to come back to them in the longer term. Pretty interesting, right? But with paid traffic, whoever figures out how to make the most money per visitor or per customer wins in the end because this person can afford to pay the most for their traffic and still turn a profit. If this sounds scary, I don’t blame you, I think I may have tinkled a bit too, for those of us, there’s free traffic we can learn about and even become somewhat of experts on. That’s what I did! I LOVE free traffic, and I love turning FREE traffic into LOYAL traffic. To me, that’s what it’s all about. And it’s completely tinkle-free!
- Organic search engine traffic
- Trending content traffic
- Social media engagement traffic
- Web forums, Facebook groups
- Organic YouTube traffic
So yeah obviously free traffic is my favorite. Although I’d like to say that I like loyal traffic, even more, I’d never had loyal traffic without attracting the free traffic first, would I? No, I really wouldn’t. But free traffic can come in all sorts of varieties, like search engines, image searches, Pinterest traffic, forum discussions, YouTube, word of mouth, podcasts, and things of that nature. There are so many strategies for building out content on the internet that attracts free traffic, and this could be a great one to put into play so that you can start building loyal traffic to your website, YouTube channel, podcast, e-commerce store, sales pages, free offer pages, or whatever else you got going on.
- Your email subscribers
- Blog subscribers
- Social media subscribers
- YouTube subscribers
- Instagram followers
Loyal traffic comprises of people that know you. They follow you, they’re into you, they’re your subscribers and followers and they’re always eager to hear from you. As a marketer and business person in the year 2021 and beyond, your goal is to get as much free traffic and then turn as much of that as you can into loyal traffic. And that’s one of the main concepts that we teach here at Build And Succeed. Once you learn how to do that, you are better prepared to take on the challenge of turning paid traffic into loyal traffic (profitably), and turning that into a success one day, although you may not really have to ever go into paid traffic at all if you don’t want to. But if you do use paid traffic, you want to do the same thing there, turn your paid traffic into loyal traffic. Or in most cases, paying customers, right? Yes! I hope you’re looking forward to exploring and learning more about all of that and more here at Build And Succeed! Thank you!
